andre

Placeholder

Placeholder for Andre and Rain.

They're getting closer.

Who: Andre and Conor
Where: Out by the fence
When: Dusk

The wolves had sounded like they were getting closer all day. Andre didn't want to take any chances on them getting in during the night, so he'd taken it upon himself to walk the perimeter, checking the fence and the gate to make sure the ropes were secure. Ropes. Yeah, that's strong. Andre jumped as he heard another howl, much closer than the last ones had been. He looked up at the top of the fence and wondered just how high wolves could jump. "Be nice if they gave us a shotgun up in here," he muttered to himself as he gave a couple of stakes a shake. Yep, sturdy. That's a relief at least.

Fort Nowhere

Who: Rain, open to anyone and/or everyone in the fort
Where: um. the fort
When: the fairly early morning time

Rain had put up with a lot. Heart attack. Isolation. House burning down. Everett being gone. Body bits in the lake. Lina gone. Dave gone, probably with Lina. This, though, kind of sort of maybe took the bloody cake. Because apparently life wasn't complete without a re-creation of a fort complete with clothing that, very unfortunately, came with ruffles. Rain was not a 'ruffle' type of person. But they were reasonably comfortable, even if she didn't want to admit it.

The Body

Who: Andre, Caél, and Matt
Where: By the lake
When: About 7ish

Andre really didn't remember the lake being this far. Of course, last time he'd been wearing shoes and hadn't been pushing a wheelbarrow. Still, they were getting there, that was the important thing. He wanted to get this over with quickly. They'd been walking for a while and were getting close to the lake when he finally started to smell it. Yeah, that's it all right. Phew. He put down the wheelbarrow for a moment and pulled out a couple of cigars he'd gotten out of his tent, tossing one to Caél. "You might want this, bro. That thing's gonna be rank when we get to it. The cigar'll mask the smell a bit." He got his cigar lit- never easy with just matches- then offered the box to Caél. "At least, that's what they do on CSI and shit."

The Man with a Plan

Who: Conor, Rain, Zania, Andre, Caél, Sarah, and Matt
Where: Around the campsite
When: April 17, 6:30 AM

Rising so early in the morning was no mean feat, but Conor had pushed his way into the chapel a few hours earlier, when the winds started, and gotten very little sleep from that point forward, huddled in a corner.

writing in my journal like a damn kid

Too much goddamn drama. Buncha crazy crackers, only a few of them really worth anything. These scientists really expect us to survive on chocolate bunnies and hard boiled eggs? I know I'm a big ol' boy, but shit. Some shit gotta change soon, or these people gonna be all over each other. Already had one of them white chicks- one of the ones that i woke up to naked this morning- come into camp lookin' like she'd been in a fight, and the longer we're out here, the more it's gonna happen.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em

Who: Andre and Bob
When: About 2pm-ish
Where: Out back of the chapel

Andre leaned up against the back wall of the chapel and lit one of the cigars he'd received. He'd been working pretty hard all day, he figured a quick smoke break wouldn't earn him a trip to the stockade. To be honest, he didn't see exactly what they were accomplishing anyways. The shelter they'd built yesterday had seemed to hold up nicely overnight, surprisingly. It'd probably hold for a while at least. Unless whats-her-ass was planning on building a permanent shelter, which he was sure they didn't really need. At this point they had the basics, they should have more people working on getting food and water now. Them chocolate bunnies weren't gonna last forever. Although he had to admit that hard-boiled egg was pretty satisfying.

Taking Stock

Who: Joy and open, especially to Blair
When: Early morning
Where: Stuck in the middle with you

The first thing Joy was aware of was that she was a little cold. The second thing was that she had somehow been asleep standing up, supported by something. The third thing was that she seemed restrained somehow. She opened her eyes. The last thing she remembered was dozing off in some corner, and now... What. The. Fuck.

shelter allocation

who: millie, kaori, and anyone wanting to sign up for a tent
where: chapel, just outside the chapel
when: all day

Kaori and Millie had 12 tents to hand out, as well as 12 sleeping bags. So far, a few had been signed out. Emma and Kales were getting one, Dan and Nic were. Torlin and Kaylin...which left nine. They'd already decided that no one single person was going to get one. People were doubling up, end of story.

Kaori was going over the list of things again, frowning faintly. If people with tents gave up the sleeping bags, because they'd have some form of shelter, there would be more to spread around. The battery operated lights she didn't want to start giving out unless they had to, because right now they weren't necessary, and hopefully by night fall, there would be enough firewood for people to build those for illumination and theoretically, cooking. It was a nice fantasy to hold onto.

"According to the list, there were three cooking sets. I believe there should be one located at each structure. The shed, the chapel, and the boathouse." Millie commented, going over her own notes.

Attempts at Building

Who: Andre, Ben, Bob, Dan, Nic, Sarah, and Zania
Where: Outside the Chapel
When: 6:30 am and onwards

The first thing Zania took note of was the twelve two-person tents, not nearly enough to fit everyone in the house. Even if everyone took three people per tent, she was pretty sure they would still be short. People could sleep in the chapel though, in the pews, or in her case, under them. She knew for a fact that was where she'd feel safest. But she'd signed on to build shelters, regardless of the fact that they might not be for her. Though the tents were an easy choice, there was surely some tarp in the shed, or at least down at the boat dock. She remembered seeing tarps covering the boats, protecting them. Those could be strung up to at least create shade, even if they didn't need it now, or maybe a very simple tent. "We've got our work cut out for us," she muttered to Sarah, wondering just where they should start. Maybe the tents...

crisis management 101

who: jason and people in/around the chapel
when: about 10 minutes after the explosion
where: in the doorway of the chapel

Jason had checked on a couple of things before he'd actually headed for the chapel. He had his stupid list with him, but really, he was more concerned with checking to see if anyone had oh, gotten their ass blown up. So far, it didn't look that way, and he'd of course made sure that the most important people to him were okay. Emma, Katalina...Dave he'd seen outside tending to someone who was hurt.

Roll Call

WHO: Andre and open to all
WHERE: The chapel
WHEN: Shortly after the great escape.

All Andre wanted to do right now was sit back and have a cigar. But seeing how he had no cigars on him, he might as well keep busy. Bob had asked him to do a roll call, so he might as well. Figure out who'd made it to the chapel and who hadn't. He stood up, tied his robe around himself, and in his best promo voice, boomed out at the room.

Headcount

Who: Dave and anyone/ everyone
Where: The Chapel
When: 4am onwards

Burnination

Mood:
Hot

Who: Andre and the whole damn third floor
When: 4AM
Where: Hell, by the looks of things.

At the first sound of the alarm, Andre had bolted upright, knocking a magazine off of his chest. What the fuck... He ran to the door, pulling on a robe over his bare chest and sweat pants. He pulled open the door and was immediately blasted back by the heat coming from the hallway. He looked out into the hallway, and saw nothing but orange and red light and smoke billowing from... everywhere, it seemed. The walls, the ceiling.

Gone Fishin'

Mood:
Lazy

Who: Andre and Anna
When: morning
Where: By the lake

Andre had tried to sleep in, but the bright sun peeking in his window had awakened him. He blinked at the light as he woke up, then smiled a little. He'd been waiting for a day like this since he'd found out about the lake. For one of the rare times in his life, Andre skimped a little on his morning routine. He got dressed, rather casually, put on a vest and a hat, and headed out to the shed, hoping to find exactly what he needed.

A Little Less Than Sane

Who: Zania and Andre
Where: Third Floor
When: Evening

Though it wasn't in her best interest to watch the cameras, Zania did so anyways. She felt compelled to, as if no one else had taken up the responsibility and it was her job to play watcher. Most people she just worried about, trapped on her end of the camera, unwilling to put herself in the middle. Besides, it was impossible to watch everyone at once, plus the doll in her closet. Eventually she began to work on a rotation, continuing to check and make sure that everyone was alright, no matter who or what was watching them.

It was when the Queen of Hearts decided to stalk Janie that Zania began to freak. The girl might not have been her favorite person, but that didn't mean she deserved to have her head chopped off. Besides, she meant something to Gavin. As she watched, the Queen just got closer and closer, so close that Janie could have reached out and touched her. At the same time, Zania became more and more agitated, till she finally decided she had to do something. She couldn't just sit there and watch the Queen behead Janie!

Public Journal Entry- April 12, 2006

Hey, I guess I better be the one to warn people, cause Laila probably went to lie down or something. She said she ran into the Queen of Hearts and like either got hit or passed out or something. I dunno, I didn't see it or nothing, I just know I had to wake her up. Anyways, if you run into the Queen of Hearts or any other playing cards, watch your ass.

And yeah, I know how crazy this sounds

Public Journal Entry- April 11, 2006

So yeah, the guys running this thing told me I should probably introduce myself to the other people in the house as soon as possible. Figure with the power going on and off like it has been, I should get it over with now so I don't gotta worry about it later. My name is Andre Washington III, I'm getting older and fatter by the day, I'm a professional wrestler from Memphis, and I love barbecue and cigars. I got one rule, you don't mess with my stuff, I won't mess with yours. Beyond that, we should get along fine.
