Where: The Bunker
When: Mid-morning? Maybe?
After the last few days, Esmé had really needed a day like this. For the first time in days, she felt like she was actually alive again, like she was free. She'd taken her new wheelchair on a tour of their new home- not like that had taken long. But her day was made complete when she'd entered one of the pretty pastel bedrooms. She'd looked in the other rooms but they were too drab and depressing. But in this room- it was as if someone had known she would pick this room.
They Moved Us Again!
Submitted by experimental on Wed, 03/12/2008 - 14:15.Who: Anna and open to any and all bunker people
Where: Bunker main living area
When: Morning
The light was bright behind her eyes – Anna was sure that’s what woke her. She’d been sleeping in the chapel and it was gloomy in there most of the time. Here, the light was different. And she was lying on something... soft. She opened her eyes and looked around and realised two things at once. Firstly that she was on a sofa. And secondly that everything was hideous! Pastels and cutesy colours, frills and flounces! Everything was so, so nice. It was just horrible and she hated it.
She was up in a moment, realising that there were other people in the room. “They moved us again!” she declared, shouting loud enough to wake the dead. Something that made her head throb, recalling the headache she’d had since the explosion.
Kind of Like That Story of the Loaves and Fishes. Only not.

Not Your Typical Easter Sunday Service
Submitted by allmystrength on Wed, 03/05/2008 - 02:39.Who: Conor and Bob
Where: Chapel
When: Evening
This was a new one. Bob was sure he'd never stayed so late at church--any church--on Easter Sunday. Easter was all about getting up before dawn to preside over the sunrise service, followed by three more celebrations of the Eucharist with a short break for the annual Sunday School egg hunt. The whole shebang was finished by one o'clock. But here he was, preparing to spend the night in the chapel... And preparing to haul out the altar hangings for use as blankets. That was an activity he'd never thought to find himself engaging in.
If only he could find the altar hangings. The chapel's storage closet was set up nothing like the sacistry back at St. Asaph's. Which was just as well, Bob thought as he rummaged through unfamiliar cabinets. If any of his Altar Guild ladies could see him now, they'd probably have a heart attack.
Greetings!

Bob wasn't particularly impressed with his presents from the scientists. The leather-bound journal: At first, he'd mistaken for a book. Opening it, he let out a snort of disbelief. The scientists were still going to require that every participant keep a journal? Well, he would have some choice words to record... But later. He moved on to the walkie-talkies. Those, at least, would be useful, for someone. He'd donate them to the general supplies. The Easter basket got another snort. The scientists must think it amusing to treat them like children, Bob supposed.
Smoke 'em if you got 'em
Submitted by lostchampion on Thu, 02/28/2008 - 13:59.Who: Andre and Bob
When: About 2pm-ish
Where: Out back of the chapel
Andre leaned up against the back wall of the chapel and lit one of the cigars he'd received. He'd been working pretty hard all day, he figured a quick smoke break wouldn't earn him a trip to the stockade. To be honest, he didn't see exactly what they were accomplishing anyways. The shelter they'd built yesterday had seemed to hold up nicely overnight, surprisingly. It'd probably hold for a while at least. Unless whats-her-ass was planning on building a permanent shelter, which he was sure they didn't really need. At this point they had the basics, they should have more people working on getting food and water now. Them chocolate bunnies weren't gonna last forever. Although he had to admit that hard-boiled egg was pretty satisfying.
Attempts at Building
Submitted by broken_doll on Sun, 02/17/2008 - 06:54.Who: Andre, Ben, Bob, Dan, Nic, Sarah, and Zania
Where: Outside the Chapel
When: 6:30 am and onwards
The first thing Zania took note of was the twelve two-person tents, not nearly enough to fit everyone in the house. Even if everyone took three people per tent, she was pretty sure they would still be short. People could sleep in the chapel though, in the pews, or in her case, under them. She knew for a fact that was where she'd feel safest. But she'd signed on to build shelters, regardless of the fact that they might not be for her. Though the tents were an easy choice, there was surely some tarp in the shed, or at least down at the boat dock. She remembered seeing tarps covering the boats, protecting them. Those could be strung up to at least create shade, even if they didn't need it now, or maybe a very simple tent. "We've got our work cut out for us," she muttered to Sarah, wondering just where they should start. Maybe the tents...

when: about 10 minutes after the explosion
where: in the doorway of the chapel
Jason had checked on a couple of things before he'd actually headed for the chapel. He had his stupid list with him, but really, he was more concerned with checking to see if anyone had oh, gotten their ass blown up. So far, it didn't look that way, and he'd of course made sure that the most important people to him were okay. Emma, Katalina...Dave he'd seen outside tending to someone who was hurt.

ShockedWho: First floor residents!
When: When do you think, asshole?
Where: The foyer of nigh-fiery doom.
Lina woke up to Coeus' squacking. Unfortunately enough, for a good sixty seconds the bird was actually louder than the damn fire alarm, and all she could really think was that the damn thing needed to shut the fuck up or--
Hey, it was really kind of warm.
Lina pushed out of bed, the alarm starting to filter through to her, and ran out into the hallway. Fire alarm. Fire alarm! Had to find the extinguishers, had to--oh wait. No. Lina skidded to a stop in her bare feet at the sight of flames spilling out into the foyer from the kitchin and dining room. And she could hear chaos above her.
Lina ran back into her room long enough to grab the squacking hawk on his perch, put him on her shoulder, and run back into the foyer to start banging on doors. She tried to open every one, and if they were locked, she started kicking the doorknob in.

The Meeting
Submitted by 1inthechamber on Fri, 12/28/2007 - 21:50.Who: Everyone
When: 6:30.
Where: Ballroom.
Lina started the meeting off the same way she had last time - the chairs for everyone had been set up around the room in a circle, and after everyone had arrived, she'd had everyone take a turn at introducing themselves. Then she'd started the talk on what she knew was most important to people. "Security." she said, sighing. "Kales and Dan have been working on a panic button, and Adam has agreed to make up door brackets for barricades. Does anyone else have any ideas they'd like to talk over?" She wagered they did, and she tried not to look at anyone in particular as she said it.
What the fucking FUCK?
Submitted by 1inthechamber on Fri, 12/07/2007 - 23:01.Who: Dan, Zhen, Lina, Kaori, Nic, and open to everyone!
Where: Second floor, meat locker, ballroom
When: About 7:15ish
People called to him or tried to talk to him as he ran through the house, hammering on every single door as he went, but not stopping for anything more than the odd comment to the stupid people who didn't get it - didn't get that Nic was missing, and that he was hurt and that he could be in danger, that anything could have happened to him. They didn't. get. it. But they'd be awake - they had to be awake. And then they could all help look for Nic and they'd find him and it'd all be okay - it all had to be okay. They just couldn't be sleeping right now. After he had finished hammering on the doors of the second floor, he ran towards the stairs, taking them two at a time as he headed for the foyer.
Zhen was following him. She was telling people as they went what was going on, though just in clips and phrases, calls for help and for people to search for Nic, but she wasn't sticking around to give a dissertation on the matter. She was hot on Dan's heels, because no way in hell was she leaving him alone right now to face---whatever was coming. No way. Even if he didn't want her there (or notice, since she was sure he was far too distraught to even understand he was being followed), she was going to be. Just in case.
Lina had made two calls - one to the medical level so Millie could locate Dave, and one to Kaori, because, well, having the shrink on hand right now was probably just a good idea. Then she was out her door and hauling ass up the stairs, thinking she should probably see if Dan was having a screaming heart attack before she ran to the meat locker, because that seemed like the rational place to look, and WHOA there was Dan on the stairs. She nearly collided with Nic's half-naked, fully bloody, wrench-wielding boyfriend on the stairs and had to jump so as to avoid tumbling back down said stairs with him. "DAN!" she yelled. She'd never actually met him, but she knew him well enough from the scientists sick little games. "Go see Dave!" Yeah, she didn't actually think that would work, but what the hell.
