About RPG Dreams
By default, Drupal only allows one account per email address. We've had to get round this, however the way round it means that if you lose your password the password recovery system will only email you the password for the first account you created. Therefore we advise you that, if you are going to have multiple accounts registered to one email address, you keep the password the same for all of them.
If you set a second or third account to have a different password there will be no way on earth of recovering that password if you forget it. We cannot help you with that and you will be unable to access that account.
If you wish to have a different password for each of your accounts, we recommend you have mulitple email addresses.
Yes - at the moment the site is in beta-testing and as guinea pigs, you get it for free, you lucky people! Eventually it is intended to be opened up to the general public at which stage it will be funded through a mixture of advertising and optional advert-free paid accounts. The exact mix has not yet been decided yet.
The limitations for the icons is 100x100 pixels in size and 60k in file size, and in gif, jpg, or png format.
At the present time you can only have one icon, which is something we're working on and hope to increase shortly, but the aim was to get this site functional and stable before working on the shinies.
We do ask that your icon be non-explicit (no sexually graphic images, no icons featuring inflammatory messages).
At this point in time we are not accepting donations.
At the moment we are not looking for any further support volunteers – if this changes in the future, we’ll post about it.
No, not at the moment - this is something which will be considered in future though and this may change.
No. This is a role playing game site. Very little, if anything, you find on this site is actually real.
Many users create celebrity journals for use in role-playing games. These journals typically contain a disclaimer in their user information stating that it is part of a game, they are not the celebrity, and have no contact with the celebrity.
Character journals (journals created using the names of characters from books/television shows/films) are not sanctioned by the copyright holders.
Both types of journal are for entertainment/gaming purposes only. No malice or infringement is intended and the contents of the journal should NOT be taken as true/authorised.
All Content posted to RPGDreams.com in any way, is the responsibility and property of the author. RPGDreams is committed to keeping the Service in decent standing for all audiences but is not responsible for the monitoring or filtering of any journal Content. Within the confines of international and local law, RPGDreams will not place a limit on the type, or appropriateness of user content within journals. Those users posting material not suitable for all audiences must agree that they are fully responsible for all the content they have posted anywhere on the service.
You acknowledge that RPGDreams does not pre-screen Content, but that RPGDreams and its designates shall have the right (but not the obligation) on their sole discretion to refuse or remove any Content that is available through the Service.
Accounts
RPGDreams is not responsible for lost passwords. Remember your passwords, and it is likely a good idea to keep the email that is sent to you when you first create an account. That will have your username on it. If you have already changed your password from the default one assigned, then it is lost. The link in the emails really is a one time use, and cannot be used again to log into your account to change the password. Please keep your passwords somewhere you can access them should you lose them! We currently have no way to retrieve them for you!
To get create an account, you first choose which game you are going to be playing in. Then, once you go into that game's system, you go to 'create an account'. You enter in whatever you want for your character's journal, and your email address, and there you go. You will get an email shortly after with your temporary password, and a link you can click that will bring you into the system for a one time use log in where you can change all of your information, put in the password you want, change your layout theme, upload an icon, and enter in your character information.
At the moment, you cannot delete your account. This can only be done by an administrator. If you wish your account to be deleted, please talk to an administrator or moderator.
Please note that, once deleted, an account CANNOT be reinstated.
No - if you leave the game, your account will be changed to 'view only' status - which will allow you view access (but not posting rights) to the community. The amdinistrators do, however, reserve the right to delete your account in cases of abuse.

Log into your account, and go to the 'my account' section. Under 'edit', right under your username, there should be two fields for your password. To change it, simply type in your new password in both fields, and hit 'save'. Your password will be changed.
Guidelines for a good password include:
1. It should be 6-10 characters,
2. contains mixed case characters such as WmPoV,
3. contains symbols such as ! @ # $,
4. is a word that does NOT appear in the dictionary, and
5. Is something that is not associated with you, such as your pet's name, names of family members, your favorite band's name or anything else personal
For example:
little or brother are not good passwords.
RxTmWm12!! is a good password.
The only way to change your username is to create a new account at this time.
No, not at the current time - that's something we're actively looking into!
When you first register, you'll do this with a password given by the site or by following a one-time only log in link.
We recommend that the first thing you do is change your password (see this post here).
Here you can also upload a user pic and change your layout to one of the available options. You can also set your private message settings, a description and title for your journal and choose your subscription options for any posts you write/ are involved in.
A note on signatures - please don't set them! They appear at the bottom of every comment and they disrupt any in-scene posts you may tag with!

Please, bear with us - because GJ went down sooner than we expected, we've had to throw this community together in about 12 hours. We're going to be working on getting it up to full functionality, in the meantime, please be patient.
If there are things that don't work, or you don't like, or that you'd like to see improved, feel free to send Sue a PM (preferably a PM rather than talking to her on AIM or emailling her, just so all the information is in a central location - she anticipates getting a lot of information), but it's going to take some time. Please remember that we're getting this site for free in return for putting up with the quirks, so it's not going to be a quick fix.
The good news is that things are going to get better as we go along!
Messaging
Private message settings:
You will want to check the top two boxes, as well as 'every message' under 'Receive e-mail for unread messages'.
There are various ways to tell if you have a private message.
1. You can switch on email notifications for private messages in your user info
2. You will be notified of a new private message when you log into your account
3. If you have aggressive notifications of PMs set up, you will get an alter on every page of the site you view in that game until you read the message
PMs allow you to send messages to other players within your game without using email or having any other information about them save for their username. Please note that this only applies to players in your game and cannot be used for inter-game contact.
To send a PM to a player in the game, go to their user info page. There is a tag which reads 'send private message to [username]' - click on that link and it will take you to the PM page. Enter in a subject and message and simply press 'send'
As you cannot receive PMs from anyone other than players in the game this should not happen - if this does happen, please report it to a moderator or administrator immediately.
PM notifications should be sent to the email address you signed up with. At the present time, this cannot be changed.
Check your PM settings . Go to your account page and press edit, then scroll down to 'Private Message Settings' - make sure 'allow Private Messages' is ticked.
Tags
HTML and special/fancy characters are not allowed in the tag field. If you are seeing this message please check and remove all formatting codes, then post your entry again.
To add a tag (or tags) to a journal entry, enter keywords in the field marked "Tags:". Separate keywords with a comma. You may not use HTML in this field.
There are two tags that will need to be put onto posts. First of all, there's the characters. What this is, is a listing of the characters in the scene. The character names should be put in only in lower case, and only using their commonly used first name. For example, if a character's name is David, but they go by Dave, you would put 'dave' in the character tag list. For characters scenes with more than one character, it will be listed in two ways. Both characters names will be listed seperately, as well as listed as a pairing. This pairing needs to be listed alphabetically. For example, a scene between Dick and Jane would be tagged as such: dick, jane, dick and jane
The second tag that is required is game day. This is whatever game day the scene or journal entry is taking place in. Because the game runs on a time-system, this field is required.
Please tag both in-character community scenes and journal entries. Out of character posts do not need to be tagged.
Customisation
Go to the link 'My account' and click on the 'edit' tab. Then click on the 'Profile' tab. The rest we trust you can work out yourself!
There is a default community moodtheme, but at the present time, you cannot have your own.
RPGDreams cannot make a theme for you, nor can we redo a style you already have. Also RPGDreams support volunteers will not help you with your layouts or customization questions.
RPGDreams also will not assist in customizing your userinfo, other than what is contained within these FAQs.
At the present time you cannot do this.
At the moment, no - the only themes available are the ones in the list. We're working on a script to allow you to be able to upload your own themes, but we don't expect this to be available for a while.
To change the look of your account, you need to hit the link for 'my account'. From there, you hit the 'edit' tab, and it will bring you to a the page where you can edit your settings. If you scroll down, there will be a list and preview of all the themes available for you. Simply tick one of them, and then save, and your account will load that theme whenever you're logged in.
Yes, yes you can - the profile page supports the same html as any other page type.
There is a default community moodtheme, but at the present time, you cannot have your own.
You can either change this from the default layout at creation of the account, or if you wish to change this at a later date, go to 'My Account' and click on the 'edit' tab. This will allow you to change your layout, upload a different icon and generally change all your settings.
You can either upload an icon when you first register, or if you want to upload/ change your icon at a later date go to your 'My Account' page and then click on the 'edit' tab. From here you will be able to change your icon, choose a new layout, change your settings etc.
Sure - just don't ask us how to do it, because we haven't had a chance to sit down and look at it. Eventually, custom profiles will be enabled. So far, there's just the 15 or so to choose from.
Go to the link 'My account' and click on the 'edit' tab. Then click on the 'Profile' tab. The rest we trust you can work out yourself!
Entries
Yes you can! But the one thing we'd ask for this is that you're careful doing it. If special fonts are used, they have to be ended specifically or they'll just carry right on down the page! Finish your posts with </font>.
Also, could you remember to use a specific <!--break--> tag within the post - either at the start of the post or after a paragraph so that the post does not 'cut' automatically (which also screws up the formatting for the entire page).
FOR EXAMPLE (your post should look something like this:-
<font face="festus!" size="5">Oh god. I feel sick. And not just sick-sick (which I do, but that’s neither here nor there. But…</font><!--break-->
<font face="festus!" size="5">I got a message from Leija’s dad. she’s in the hospital. Oh god, she’s in the hospital. I left her there, I didn’t even try and help. And she’s in the hospital.
It’s always going to be this way, isn’t it? because I know that I would do exactly the same thing if it happened again. Which just makes it worse. I feel guilty, but I couldn’t say that next time it’d be different. But I never wanted it to be like this.</font>
To look something like this:-

Posts automatically break (ie the whole post will not appear in the main comm, but be hidden with a 'read more' tag), so if you don't want to be fussed to break it yourself, you don't have to.
You can override the automatic break by using a <!--break--> tag. If you place a <!--break--> tag anywhere in the scene, the scene will show up down to that point, rather than automatically cutting off - this is useful if you wish to put a short 'teaser' on your scene of a couple of paragraphs.
Please note: ALWAYS us the <!--break--> tag for handwritten scenes! If handwritten scenes are allowed to automatically break, they will screw up your entire page and nobody likes that!
Currently all OOC posts are community locked and some of the pages of information are community locked.
At current you cannot set any other entries to be community locked - if you have something you wish to be community locked, please contact a moderator. This situation will be reviewed in the future, so if you have any problems, let us know!
On this site you pick where you want your post to go before you write it. We've tried to make this as easy as possible. Click on 'create content' and you'll see a list of options:-
Journal entry - creates an entry in your character journal
Scene - creates an entry in the in-character community
OOC Journal - creates an entry in the out oc character community.
Simple, n'est pa?
For now, please do not use 'page' or 'story' if they are accessible. They shouldn't be for most people, but some users (ie those with admin rights, or if something's not set up right) may still have access. Just ignore them. Thank you!
You can set your options to notify you of comments. To do this, go to 'edit' on 'my account' and scroll down. Under 'subscriptions' tick the box 'autosubscribe'.
When posting entries, comments are automatically enabled. To disable comments, locate the Comment Settings on the submission page - these settings are four up from the bottom. To disable people from commenting to your entry, simply make sure that the Disabled button is checked, and post (or save your edit) as normal.
At the present time, only administrators can delete comments. We hope to change this in the future, but currently, if you want a comment deleted, please PM the mod account
At the current time, you can only have one icon per account. We hope to have multi-icons working in the future at which point we will notify you and answer this question more fully
Each user's icon can be viewed on his or her user info/ account info page.
Acceptable HTML are the following:
<a> <b> <big> <br> <center> <cite> <code> <dd> <div> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <form> <h1> <h2> <h3> <hr> <i> <img> <input> <li> <nobr> <ol> <option> <p> <pre> <s> <select> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul> <xmp>
Please remember that ALL of these codes need to be properly closed using the </command>. Forgetting to close the codes can cause problems displaying your entries and comments.
NOTE:
Please be careful of using HTML, especially with fonts and tables. RPGDreams posts cut automatically after 600 words and if tags are not closed at the time of the cut, it will mess up the formatting of the page you are viewing! Therefore, if you are writing a post which requires special formatting throughout (such as a hand written journal entry), please ensure you use the <!--break--> tag either at the beginning of the post so that all of the post is beneath a cut, or alternatively after the first paragraph (so long as the first paragraph is less than 600 words!)
A website such as http://www.w3schools.com/html/ may be of assistance in explaining the codes and how to use them. PLEASE NOTE that this website is NOT affiliated with RPGDreams in any way and the link is provided only as a resource.

Game questions
Yes.
- Don't hijack scenes. If there are more than two people on a scene and you join it, don't steal it and leave one of the players out.
- If someone has taken an open scene already, but you still want to join – it's considered good manners to check with one or both players to see if it's okay to throw your character in, too. If you do join an already-in-progress scene, don't entirely divert what's happening without talking to the other players. (Example: Billy and Suzy are having a serious conversation, and then Joey runs through the room on fire. Billy and Suzy's conversation is most definitely over as they begin their quest for amazing life-giving water!)
- Don't ignore, neglect, or skip other characters. Billy, Suzy, Joey, and Annie are having a conversation when Joey spontaneously combusts. Billy's player signs off for the night for that all important sleep, but Suzy and Annie's players finish the scene without him. Not cool! Billy's player wakes up to find that Joey has been put out, taken to the medical level, revived, and endlessly thanked Suzy and Annie while Billy stood in place staring and doing nothing. Suzy and Annie, by not waiting for their third party, have determined that Billy has done nothing – even if he would have done if they'd waited. It's fine to skip a character for a turn here and there, but at some point, you're going to have to stop and wait.
- Sometimes it's okay to go off on your own! The house is having a big dinner party, and there are twenty people in the dining room. It's more than fine to have a bunch of little mini-threads on one post, so it's fine to do your own thing. ;)
- Nobody likes their open scene going ignored. So if there's already several open scenes that haven't been taken that game-day? See if it's possible to take one of those instead of putting up a new one of your own – unless there's something you need to do at a specific time or location, of course. :)
- PH is a very fast-moving game, and sometimes, tag scenes get dropped. We're all guilty of it, and it happens - sometimes accidentally, some people just forget, or some people just move on. It's not the end of the world, but it is disheartening. A few tips to avoid dropped tag scenes: If someone takes your open scene, see about moving it to AIM (or even gdocs - very handy) and getting out as much as you can in one sitting. When tagging, try to avoid short, one-line tags, as they don't give the other player very much to work with. If you think the other player has forgotten your scene - remind them. It's no crime, and most people would prefer you bring it up rather than assume the worst of them and write them off as a player. We fully encouraging IMing, e-mailing, or even posting reminders in the OOC when needed.
- If a player writes a scene with one-liners on all of their turns, the mods will issue a warning. Playing House does not have a posting requirement for tags because, as we all know, sometimes a one-liner here and there is called for. But when people abuse this, we will take action.
All scenes and logs go into the community. Anything above an R Rating should be placed beind a cut, and clearly labled. Scenes should be in the third person, and character's journal entries should be written as just that - journal entries.
In every post in the community, the following summary details should be first thing:
Who: (This is where you put characters involved in the post, or if it is open or locked to anyone.)
Where: (Where the scene is taking place. IE; the living room, a second floor hallway, outside...)
When: (What time of day/night does this scene take place?)
As the game progresses, a mod will randomly post time updates in the community. A time update will tell you what day it is in the game, the weather, and any in-character events everyone should know or be aware of.
Every bedroom is decorated differently (how, specifically, is up to the character's player), but every bedroom does include: A queen-sized bed (with all linens, pillows, etc); a full-size desk, computer, printer, scanner, and various accessories/softwear; a walk-in closet; a bookshelf; a dresser; two night-stands; a personal, full bathroom.
Practically anything. NO, your character would not be allowed to bring explosive weapons or firearms. Everyone was searched before entering the compound. However, illegal substances (such as drugs) were allowed. Characters were allowed to bring their own, ahem, over-the-counter medicines if they so wished, their own alcohol, cigarettes, etc. Pocket knives would have been allowed, but random daggers and butcher's knives? Um, no. If you need a weapon, be creative enough to find one in the house. Additionally, no, there was not a limit as to how much they could bring with them. While they wouldn't have been allowed to bring their own furniture or beds, if they literally wanted to bring ten trunks of clothes, crack, and sex toys, no one was going to stop them.
Mostly. Everyone was informed that they would be giving up a year of their life to live in the compound, secluded away with a group of other participants. It said in their contract that it was a social experiment, and they would be studying all forms of human interaction and response - including response to high stress situations.
Every character in the experiment was put through the same treatment and testing. There was the initial application, then interview, which was a video-taped one-on-one conversation and interview with a scientist. From there, there was a full and extensive range of medical and psyche evaluations. Your character would have signed a full medical release. All perscription and necessary medications will be continued to be refilled while they are part of the experiment. Releases to criminal histories would be signed. The scientists would have access to everything they need to know.
As it said above, all prescription and necessary medications will be continued to be refilled while they are part of the experiment. Over the counter medications of all types could also be found stocked inside the mansion (in storage rooms or public bathrooms), and there are request items for those types of necessities. In the prep-day before the experiment, characters would have filled out preferred brands for anything from deodorant to shampoo, which will be continuously stocked through-out the year. An odd detail, but one asked about a lot - various types of condoms can be found in all public bathrooms.
Every character, whether in PH or ExB, recieved the same treatment. They were given a date for when they would join the experiment, and on that date, they were picked up at their homes, by an escort and limo, taken to the nearest airport, and on board a private plane. They were secluded, and kept in the dark on all details about location and travel time. Many hours were spent on plane and in identical black cars. Before they reached the compound, they would have been blindfolded. Upon arrival, they will be sedated, and put in their room with all of their belongings. When they wake up, a message will be waiting for them on their computer.
No. At current, we are in April, 2006. Your character will be put in the house on a new day. They will have been informed ahead of time that they are a replacement for someone who was removed from the house.
As stated in the RULES, every character must show activity in their journals. Why? Because they were told, before the experiment started, that they had to. They signed a contract agreeing to do so. It's part of the experiment. No character is exempt from this rule.
Yes. There are cameras in every room of the house, this includes bathrooms and bedrooms. For continuity purpose, be aware that all the bathroom cameras are pointed towards the counters, and you do not get a direct view of the bathtub/shower (though you can easily catch a glimpse in the mirror sometimes). There are several different views of every room, and outdoor views as well (including places like the hedge maze, the chapel, the shed...).
Episodes are little, nifty plot-arcs. Most often based around tests from the scientists, and they frequently single out one or two characters. Sometimes, however, episodes like Damage Control effect the entire house.
Every character gets episodes. It takes time, but it will happen. The more information the mods have about your character, and the more active you are, the more likely it is for this to happen soon.
As soon as you are able, please, please, please fill out the episode questionnaire, and with as much detail as possible! Even if some details are things your character doesn't even know, there's still a possibility the scientists can find these things. They are crafty men with a hell of a lot of money.
Quite possibly! Though not without permission. The mods will never make up information about your character's backstory. We can only work with what you give us. And if, as an example, your character has a long lost brother they've never met, and you want to explore that possibility? That's right up the scientists alley. The more information and possibilities you're willing to give us, the better.
From time to time, the housemates are submitted to various tests at complete random. Anything from living a week without any power/electricity/heat, to waking up to find all the pipes in the house have burst, to having your secrets made public knowledge. Be warned that these acts and tests are at complete random, and players are not given warning to tests. They are planned in advance to happen on certain days, and when they happen, they happen. If you'd rather not have to react to shocks and random plot twists, this isn't the game for you.
From time to time, the scientists see fit to give special people certain gifts. Sometimes it's random, sometimes it's not. But it's a lot more likely to happen if you tell us things your character would like. Alternatively, the rewards serve another purpose. From time to time, the characters might get a bit of an ouchy surprise. A reward that isn't a reward at all. The one item your character never wanted to see again, something from their past. If you have ideas for that aspect, again, let us know!
That's fine! Either or is fine. Additionally, many of our players would be happy to do scenes by e-mail or PM if necessary. Be aware, however, that you are expected to interact with others. If you don't use AIM, or prefer not to, then you'll need to be active in the OOC community, so that you can still connect with other players. Don't complain that you're not getting plot if you're not making the effort.
Unless the field is specifically marked Optional, yes, you have to fill it out. If, say, your character has no family. Do not simply put n/a. Tell us they don't know their family.
At the very least, you have to give the mods an E-Mail address where you can be reached. We will not give out or post your e-mail address. Additionally, our Aim List is friends only - which means you have to be an approved member to read it.
No kidding? Yes, it is an honest-to-God weakness, and can be very fun if played out well. But if you're going to have a lot of the typical Mary Sue weaknesses, you better have enough to balance it out and justify it.
This is a very complicated subject. Let us try to explain in the best way possible. If your character believes that they are a psychic, a medium, a telepath, an alien lovechild, whatever it is that's slightly paranormal, that's fine. But it must be clear in both the application and your narrative that it's their belief, and not the outright truth. Acceptable: Little Suzy believes she is a prophet. Unacceptable: Little Suzy is a prophet, and her visions are always right. She can predict your character's death.
Additionally, please note that this is not a supernatural game. Your character is not a super hero. Your character does not have super speshul abilities. Your character is not The Antichrist with out-of-this-world powers. Now a character that thought they were the antichrist with out-of-this-world powers... that could be funny...
Another example: we currently have a character (haunted_kaori) that believes she is being haunted by her dead sister. It is always clear in the narrative that this is what she believes, and not the Outright Undeniable Truth. Also, Rebekah (dying_damned) believes she is damned, and being haunted by demons. She sees demons frequently. But it's always clear that other people don't actually see them, and might not be there at all. We're open to the possibility that Kaori is being haunted, and there are demons that only Rebekah can see, but there's interpretation room.
Keeping this mind, we will never accept vampires, werewolves, angels, *insert supernatural race here*. A character that believes he's an honest to god vampire? Fine. A character that will burst into flame and die if sunlight touches him, and needs to drink blood to live? No.
No. We get asked this all the time (and, ironically enough, usually about the same two PBs), and this is not an option. We will not allow recycled PBs.
NEED ANSWERING!
The housemates (characters) do not know exactly where the Compound is, as they are taken there in secrecy. They know that when they arrive, on January 1st, there is well over a foot of snow on the ground. There are no other clues as to their exact location.
They aren't exactly sure how much space there is on the Compound, either. It's well over twenty miles worth of property, heavily barricaded on all sides, with a large mansion in the exact center. The barricades cannot be seen from the house.
On the property, there is a large, private lake - very well frozen over when they arrive. Nearby that is a forest, with hiking and bike trails all through-out it. On the other side of the forest is a hedge maze.
Inside the mansion, there is everything they could need for the year. A huge kitchen with all the appliances one would ever need and a storage closet/walk-in pantry full of just about any food or drink one could want. A dining room, plenty of bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, spacious living rooms, recreation rooms, and game rooms. A private theater, with literally hundreds of movies.
Several TVs through-out the house (though none of them can be used to pick up any TV station, they are for use with DVD players and video game systems only), computers (no internet), and a large library and fitness center. Heated pool in the basement. A shed on the property with bikes, ice skates, and other outdoor equipment and activities. A boat house with several different size boats, jet skis, and other water recreation equipment.
Each and every room has a telephone and intercom system - the telephone will not allow outgoing calls, only room-to-room calls.
Every bedroom is decorated differently in deep rich colors, with old furniture and curtains seeming out of the thirties and forties. However, everything is in immaculate condition. Note that how your character's bedroom looks is completely up to you.

Site Navigation Features
At the current time, the forums for this site are inactive.
Content This is the menu is where you're going to find all the scenes, journal entries and ooc posts available in the game.
Journals: This link will show you only the journal entries of those who are in the communities. This will be all of the journals, not only those on your buddy list.
My subscriptions: Every scene/post you have subscribed to. You can unsubscribe to a scene/post at any time. Right on the 'my subscriptions' page, there are tick boxes next to them, simply untick the box and you will no longer be subscribed to that post. (Right now, there are several different things that come in with subscriptions, the important ones to you will be the first two.)
Ooc Posts: This will show you every post and only posts that are in the Ooc community.
Private Messages: This brings you to the private messaging system, where you can check your private messages and write new messages. Note: You can only send messages to people who are in your specific game. So you cannot send a private message from your journal in one game, to a user in a different one. They operate entriely seperately.
Scenes: This will show you the in character community. It will only show you the scenes posted, not journals or ooc posts.
Tags: There are two tags that will need to be put onto posts.
Recent posts: This is all the most recent posts that have been made. This includes everything, all the users posts in their journals, and both in and ooc communities. Basically, this would be just like your friends list on a lj based system. It's everything.
Game Information: This is all the information you will need for the game. It includes rules, contact lists, and really any other relevant information the mods put in. FAQs will be there as well, along with wanted characters, etc. Basically, if you have any questions about game content/rules/etc? Look here.
My account: This is all of your information. It's all editable, including passwords, icons, profiles, etc. This will also give you your subscriptions page. First of all, there's the 'Edit' tab. This will let you change your password, email notification options, etc. Then there is 'Profile', which is where you fill in all of your character information. All of the fields that are required on the application are there to fill in, as well as a place you can put in your awards, etc.
Users: This link will show you all of the users involved in the community, and there will be a short description of the characters, as well as an icon if they have one uploaded.
Create content: This is where you get to post things! When you click this, it will give you several options. You will have Blog entry, Scene, or Out of Character Posts.
Blog entries are journal entries. They are personal journals from your character, written in their voice.
Scene is posts for the in character community. This is where all scenes should be posted from.
Out of character posts are for the out of character community. This is for anything that is not a scene or journal, that's for the other players of the game.
Log out: This logs you out of your journal.
Everything you need should be linked in top bar or the side bar (depending on your layout). If you spot a post that you think would be awesome to have linked there that isn't (and yes, we're only talking information posts here, not the uber-cool scene you wrote last night!) let one of the mods know so they can consider whether to add it to the side bar.
