After speaking to Delilah, apologizing really, about the little slip he'd made in giving her presence away to another dreamwalker in town, and then waiting for Eric's reappearance since he guessed the ghost would be upset if he went without him, Corwin started over to Shannon's to do the same thing. He was as muffled as usual, coat and all, just in case. It might be dark, and Shannon might know about him, but no matter what Regan thought, he still wanted to keep his presence quiet in Marquette. Gin greeted him at the corner and trotted along at his side as he walked down the sidewalk.

It feels like we haven't seen her in days, Eric complained.

"We haven't, really," Corwin admitted. "Everything's just been so busy... at least we know her house was never attacked." Gin, at his feet, purred proudly at the affection in the vampire's voice.
