Hello Sammy. Sorry I took so long to send this. There have been some strange things happening around town the past couple days, and I've been a bit busy. :(

I did bring a couple cats by the other night, as I promised. There's a big black one named Horus and a smaller gray named Bell. They can't actually come onto the property, though. Apparently whoever you are living with is paranoid or a high-class government spy or something. I don't know if you noticed, but as soon as Horus started across your lawn, these huge, bright floodlights came on. For a *cat* on the *lawn*. Then this guy came out and threatened bad things if a cat got near his house. It was very strange, and are you sure you're okay staying there? I might be over-protective and jump to conclusions about some people, but that just... gave me a bad feeling, I guess.

Regardless, those two are around, if not right on your property, if you need anything and can't get to a computer. I hope you're doing all right, you and your brother.

Sammy,

As the subject says :) I'm checking in with you to see how you're doing, if you or your brother need anything, a time away from your sister's house, etc. I can send one of my cats to keep an eye on the house, if you like, and if you need anything or there's trouble it can get me. As long as it's at night, anyway.

Also, I thought you might like to know, but I'm absolutely sure the Acherus are gone. The news is right. I've been looking these past few nights, and I haven't seen a single one.

It was a battle of wills. Or a battle of will. Singular. Sammy was awake in the wee hours of the morning for the...well, he'd lost track of how much sleep he had missed in the past few days. Point was, he was awake still. And debating whether or not he should email the vampire who had saved him and Geo - well, mostly Geo? - the night (morning?) before. The email was written out and the ancient mouse hovered over the send button. Should he send, or should he trash the missive?
