Who: Geo, Helen and Sammy
When: Late afternoon
Where: The Law Firm of Harris and Jones
There was an air of annoyed edginess surrounding the three siblings as Geo hopped out of Helen's car, hands shoving deep - as always - into his ever-present duster. Helen had been downright hostile all afternoon, and refused to talk, and Sammy...Sammy was still 'talking' stilted, even in sign language. It was getting a bit creepy.
And this whole will thing? So not helping matters. He felt so nervous he almost felt like he was going to be sick.

Who: Manhattan and Helen
Where: Outside Helen and Marek's House
When Mid-morning
Helen was just starting to even think about getting ready for her shift starting in a few hours, wandering the house with her hair out of its normal bun. The house was a wreck, and she couldn't really be bothered to care. Not while Nana was here. Though, right now she wasn't here. There were a lot of people who weren't here. Marek she could understand, and Sammy - they both had school, but Geo...
That was odd. Where would he be?
She had just gone padding past the door when she saw Geo - as if her thoughts had summoned him - trudging down the sidewalk. That wouldn't have really been all that odd, if not for the woman leaving. Helen's dark eyes narrowed dangerously, sliding off the slippers she'd been wearing, snagging one of Marek's ever-present jean-jackets and shoving her feet into her normal shoes. She flung the door open just as Geo reached for it.
"Hey, wha-" Geo protested as she pushed past him, but she didn't hear the rest of his words, the door slamming behind her. There was really only one thought going through her head: What is SHE doing here?

Who: Helen and Marek
Where: A restaurant in Negaunee
When: 6:00 PM
University classes were done for the week - at least for Marek - by four o'clock in the afternoon. He'd made it home before Helen and after a quick perusal of the fridge had come to the conclusion that tonight would be a good night to go out to eat, rather than eating in. Some of the meat in the fridge was, after all, rather questionable. It hadn't taken long for him to get back into the car and pick Helen up as she got out of work. A couple of minutes after that they had both come to the conclusion that neither of them wanted to eat at Mya's Diner, and minutes after that they were on the road to Negaunee.
Doing a Part

Who: Judiel and Helen
When: late morning on
Where: downtown
True to his promise to himself, Judiel had gotten up at a decent hour and prepared to go out. It was belated, maybe, he could've been doing this the day before, but he'd been wallowing too much to. Which was shameful, really. He'd lived in Marquette for quite a while, had made friends there -- most of whom had already fled, thank the gods -- and he owed it the respect not to sit around on his ass and feel sorry for himself while it crumbled. So he would do his part, though the effects would probably be small.
When Did You Get Here?

Who: Helen and Sammy
Where: The grocery store
When: Mid-afternoon
There was a dire need of more soap. Well, maybe it wasn't dire, but Geo and Sammy did need it - at least they needed non-spiced soap, as currently the only stuff to be found was loaded with mace, clove and cayenne pepper, and when it got into cuts it stung like a mother. Sammy shoved his hands in his pockets, playing with the bills and coins as he wandered through the aisles aimlessly with the basket held in the crook of his arm, edge resting against his hip. Already in the basket were two loaves of bread for the ducklings who had hatched earlier, and a box of cereal, and oh, look, there was the soap. ...and Helen? Sammy couldn't help the surprised choking sound that escaped him as he took a step back quickly.
Packing was a bitch. Unpacking was even worse - they had nothing to eat. At all. Helen had drawn the short straw, so, well, here she was. She'd had to exert herself in the liquor aisle, not to blow the whole wad of bills in her trousers on beer. She heard a small sound as she added a bottle of soap to her cart - and when she looked up, her dark eyes narrowed to slits. "...Sam? What the hell are you doing here?"
