Where: Really bad motel

"Damn vampires running people out of town, no good hotels open, damn Manhattan, vampires follwing her, dead bodies in my room, run out of my hotel, damn damn damn." Derek grumbled as he transfered his things into his -new- hotel room. He unlocked the door and stepped inside only to want to flee again. God, maybe he was just spoiled but he'd never stayed in a dump like this before. He had the money, why should he?

He had to make the best of it (right?) so he stashed his 'trophy' and his laptop bag in the closet- then changed his mind and hid them under the bed. It still didn't seem secure enough but no place in the room seemed secure. "I'm going to leave and come back to find everything ripped off, I just know it."

Derek sighed and sat down on the bed, he just had to get his mind off it all and realize that for the next couple of days he'd have to stay here. At least he could find comfort that starting tomorrow he'd be in the market for a new house. He smiled at that thought, a new house it was always fun to move into a new, especially because it meant new stuff (considering he didn't have to get rid of the old house) and movers to do all the heavy lifting for you. Derek layed back in bed and put his hands behind his head as he contemplated what he'd bring over from Chicago. Tomorrow would be a good day, no vamps during the day, he could get his clothes from the landmark and forget that he was almost killed this night.
